Basswood is painted a dark industrial frosted gray and then laser but into circles, 1.75" in diameter with a series of smaller circles cut from the inside of the large circle.  The earrings use silver-plated fishhook earwires and are 2" long.
All metal used is hypoallergenic, nickel-free, and is sterling silver, silver or gold-plated, or stainless steel unless noted otherwise. Every item is handcrafted, custom-made, nothing mass-produced.
